(1) THOMAS
HENRY ARTHUR TREZISE was the son of Thomas Henry and
Grace Trezise, He was born 1847 in Cornwall, and
died 1944 aged 97Y. He married the sister of his partner, MARY LETITIA
MATTHEWS on Jun 14 1875 in Knox Church, Dunedin (she died 1954.) He
learned farming in the "Old Country" and came to the Colony at th age of
22 departing on 13 Nov 1868 on the ship "Matoaka" arriving at Lyttelton 08 Feb 1869. His
occupation given as ploughman. 1873 he was at Cave Downs near Pleasant
Point. After settling at Temuka he entered into partnership
with Orlando Orr Matthews, a shipmate, on a property at Waitohi. On
21 July 1876 they sold the farm stock and freehold property and
Matthews took over the
farm of 480 acres and Thomas
managed the Riverslea property.
Their son, THOMAS
HENRY ARTHUR TREZISE was b. 1886; d. 1953 aged 66Y; m. ALICE VAGUE
in 1911. They had 2 sons:

TREZISE arrived on the ship Assaye which sailed from London 12 September 1874 and arrived 26th
December at Auckland. He was a labourer from Cornwall aged 42 and
travelled with his wife Joanna nee Oats 43, and their American born
children -daughters Elizabeth Jane 16, Mary Ann 11 and son Charles Henry
aged 9 (d 1911) Henry Trezise was a miner, was born
in 1832 in St. Just, Cornwall and died 28 Jul 1896 in Karangihake.
His wife, Joanna Oats born 1831 ST JUST IN PENWITH Cornwall, died 10
Nov 1904 in Karangihake. Their USA born

TREZISE born 1845 Cornwall left London 17 Oct 1874 with wife Ann
aged 30 on board the Berar but Ann died
on the voyage from rheumatic fever. They had 3 children Marjory 6, Emily 4
, Edith 2 and William 6 months. Arrived Wellington 22 January,
1875
i. Margery Jago Bice
Trezise born: 1 Jul 1868 attended the Mornington school, Dunedin. She
and sister Edith were dressmakers living at Richmond Rd,
Dunedin when they voted 1893. On 13 Apr 1904 Margery
married Alfred Henry Naish at the home of bride's parents,
Purakanui. Alfred's father was Edward Naish.

TREZISE b. 1845, a carpenter from Cornwall and his wife Wilmot b. 1849
in Cornwall, daughters Jessamine 2 and infant Mabel boarded the
Stonehouse at Plymouth 10 April 1874 and arrived at Lyttelton 27 June.
