Other Trezises who came to New Zealand
 
(1) THOMAS HENRY ARTHUR TREZISE  was the son of Thomas Henry and Grace Trezise,  He was born 1847 in Cornwall, and died 1944 aged 97Y. He married the sister of his partner, MARY LETITIA MATTHEWS on Jun 14 1875 in Knox Church, Dunedin (she died 1954.) He learned farming in the "Old Country" and came to the Colony at th age of 22 departing on 13 Nov 1868 on the ship "Matoaka" arriving at Lyttelton 08 Feb 1869. His occupation given as ploughman. 1873 he was at Cave Downs near Pleasant Point. After settling at Temuka he entered into partnership with Orlando Orr Matthews, a shipmate, on a property at Waitohi. On 21 July 1876 they sold the farm stock and freehold property and Matthews took over the farm of 480 acres and Thomas managed the Riverslea property.
 
Their son, THOMAS HENRY ARTHUR TREZISE was b. 1886; d. 1953 aged 66Y; m. ALICE VAGUE in 1911. They had 2 sons:

i. Thomas Henry Arthur Trezise Born: 06 Oct 1912 Died: 05 Sep 1976 mar. 1935 Viola Mary Pellett (Div. 1954) Mar 1956 to Kathleen Agnes Fox b. 16 Jul 1916 d. 22 Nov 1998 in Christchurch

ii. William Edmond (Eddie) Matthew Trezise b. 1925 d. 27 Jul 1980 Ref: Canty. Cyclopedia

(2)HENRY TREZISE arrived on the ship Assaye which sailed from London 12 September 1874 and arrived 26th December at Auckland. He was a labourer from Cornwall aged 42 and travelled with his wife Joanna nee Oats 43, and their American born children -daughters Elizabeth Jane 16, Mary Ann 11 and son Charles Henry aged 9 (d 1911)    Henry Trezise was a miner, was born in 1832 in St. Just, Cornwall and died 28 Jul 1896 in Karangihake. His wife, Joanna Oats born 1831 ST JUST IN PENWITH Cornwall, died 10 Nov 1904 in Karangihake. Their USA born children were 
i. Elizabeth Jane Trezise b. 1858 married 24 Oct 1878 Charles Stevens;  
 
ii. Mary Ann Trezise born 1863 married 09 May 1883  Allan Wilson
 
iii.Charles Henry Trezise born 1865 died 17 Jul 1910  from "miners' complaint" in Thames Hospital.
(3)JAMES TREZISE born 1845 Cornwall left London 17 Oct 1874 with wife Ann aged 30 on board the Berar  but Ann died on the voyage from rheumatic fever. They had 3 children Marjory 6, Emily 4 , Edith 2 and William 6 months. Arrived Wellington 22 January, 1875

i. Margery Jago Bice Trezise born: 1 Jul 1868 attended the Mornington school, Dunedin. She and sister Edith were dressmakers living at Richmond Rd, Dunedin when they voted 1893. On 13 Apr 1904 Margery married Alfred Henry Naish at the home of bride's parents, Purakanui. Alfred's father was Edward Naish.  

ii. Emily Trezise born: 1871; 

iii. Edith Annie Trezise Born: 9 Feb 1872 attended the Mornngton school where the family lived - she did not marry and died 1951 at Timaru aged 79 years; 

iv. William Trezise Born: 1875

James Trezise married Annie Gillanders on the 28 Feb 1878 in Knox Church, Dunedin and in 1884,  their son William Petrie Trezise was born.

(4)JOHN TREZISE b. 1845, a carpenter from Cornwall and his wife Wilmot b. 1849 in Cornwall, daughters Jessamine 2 and infant Mabel boarded the Stonehouse at Plymouth 10 April 1874 and arrived at Lyttelton 27 June.

iii. John Trezise b. 1877 d. 1917 in Greytown mar Susan Alice Welch b. 1879 in 1905 She died 1908 in Greytown - their dau Alice Wilmot Trezise b. 1908 d. 1909 in Greytown

iv. Alfred Joseph Trezise b. 1886 d. 1944 in Christchurch He mar. in 1914 Eileen Gladys Cole King who was b. 1891; d. 1969 in Christchurch. Children - Doreen;  Eileen May mar. Malcolm Richard William Milne; Merle;  Wilmot John Trezise b. 10 Oct 1915 d. 1993 mar. Kathleen Vonne Pickles; William Alfred Trezise b. 11 Oct 1914 d. 05 Apr 1994 in Ashburton; Noeline

(5) Alfred John Trezise  b. Jan 1861 in St Germans, Cornwall d. 1955 in Auckland. His parents Theodore and Martha Trezise, Potsmouth. Alfred mar 1881 to Emily Jane Laws b. 1858 in Portsea, Portsmouth and they immigrated abt 1885. Their family:

i. Theodore Trezise, b. 1882 in Southsea, Portsmouth, Hampshire. Toured the world, was a singer,musician; (WW1 No 4/135a), had a dance studio in Wgtn afterwards for a while.

ii. Emily Trezise, b. 1884 in Portsmouth, UK

iii. Frederick Louis Trezise, b. 1887 in NZ , Auckland Builder,  d. 1964 Ak; Mar. 1913 (Div. 1943) Avery Maud Coe b. 1885 d. 1970.  *2nd Wife - Ivy Amelia Smale b. 1894, Married 1945 d. 1973 in Auckland

iv. Bernard Trezise, b. 1890 in NZ Died: 1963 in Ak mar 1916 Elizabeth Bary, B 1890 d.1948  *2nd Wife - Celia Mabel Kingston nee Young b. 1899 mar. 1951 Died: 1976

6. Richard Thomas Trezise b. 1841 in Cornwall, Miner d. 29 Jun 1933 in Dunedin mar to Margaret Jane b. 1847 in Cornwall She d. 10 Jan 1908 Dunedin This Trezise family arrived in Dunedin on the "Otago" in 14 July 1875:

Daughter Christina Trezise mar 25 Dec 1893 to Robert Jamieson son of James Jamieson, at the home of bride's parents, John St, Roslyn, Dunedin.   Robert was b. in Scotland.

 Their son, James Trezise Jamieson, b. 1896 (WW1 55682 - Army)d. 17 Oct 1928, mar. 1926 Violet Maude Wackeldine b. 1897 d. 23 Dec 1948 They had 2 children Cyril Harris Jamieson and Erica Margaret Jamieson
