MARRIAGE: Wanganui Chronicle: 11 June 1898; A
wedding which created much interest in social circles in New Plymouth was
solemnised at St. Mary's Church on Wednesday afternoon last, the
contracting parties being Mr Anderson, of Wanganui, and Miss Helen
Hursthouse, of New Plymouth. The Rev. F. G. Evans performed the ceremony.
The bride, who was handsomely attired in a pretty cream brocaded
mervelcuse dress, and white felt hat trimmed with ostrich feathers, was
given away by her mother, who was dressed in black bengaline. The Misses
Hursthouse (2), sisters of the bride, acted as bridesmaids. They were
dressed in white crêpe trimmed with white satin, and black hats with
variegated roses. Each carried a pretty bouquet of yellow flowers, and
wore a handsome sapphire brooch, the gifts of the bridegroom. Mr W. Gordon
Glassford acted as best man. At the conclusion of the ceremony the party
proceeded to the residence of Mrs Hursthouse, where a number of friends
sat down to breakfast, and the health and happiness of the happy couple
were warmly toasted. Included in the large number of costly presents was a
pretty cut glass and silver butter dish, presented to Miss Hursthouse by
the boys of St. Mary's choir.

Wanganui Agricultural Association and same year, participated in sheep
judging competition. He was at his farm property was at Parihauhau,
about 14 miles from Wanganui until after 1944. Family are: Barbara
Helen, Annette Pamela Bernice and Michael Chapman

LOGIE PARISH HISTORY.
Monteath executed a trust disposition and settlement,
with consent therein mentioned, in favour of Robert
Monteath, farmer, Biggs, and Jnmes Monteath, writer,
then residing at Cauldhame, as trustees for the purposes therein
mentioned, dated 26th June, 1827, and registered 6th
March, 1828. James Monteath, the surviving and accepting
trustee, granted a disposition in favour of John
Monteath, physician in Perth, dated 20th May, 1829. Dr. John
Monteath died at Perth, 20th September, 1847, aged
fifty-six yenrs. His wife was Elizabeth Ritchie, who died
4th September, 1893, aged ninety-six years, and both were
buried in Logie. A daughter, Elizabeth, died 5th March,
1884, aged sixty-two years. The lands became burdened, and
Alexander Monteath, writer in Stirling, who succeeded Dr.
John Monteath, died at Stirling, 17th January, 1868,
aged forty-three years, nnd was also buried at Logie. His
widow, Mrs. Monteath of Wright Park, erected a stone to
his memory, also to their children, Ebenezer Row and Rethin Key, who
both died in infancy, and Elizabeth Ritchie, who died
14th March, 1897. His son, John, was under tutors and
curators when the lands were sold to Mr. Laurence Chapman
of Blairgowrie, in 1870, who changed the name from
Cauldhame to Blair Ochil. They were held by his trustees
for a number of years after his death, which took place
on 5th April, 1875, and were acquired by the present
owner, Mr. Alexander Geekie Anderson, who resides at
Wanganui, New Zealand, in 1896. Mr. A. G. Anderson is the
son of the deceased Mr. George Brown Anderson, formerly
of the firm of Messrs. Anderson, Chapman & Co.,
solicitors, Blairgowrie, a nephew of Mr. Laurence
Chapman.
By Order of the Chancery Division of the
High Court of Justice dated the 23rd day of October 1978 made in Re
Anderson deceased, Findlay and Magee v. Leete, an enquiry was directed for
the persons who on the death of the Intestate Belinda Helen Mary Anderson
Gate of Holloway Sanatorium, Egham, Surrey) became beneficially entitled
absolutely or contingently to any property or hers as to which she died
intestate and for the personal representatives of any such persons who
have since died. Claims to be sent to Messrs. Potter, Sandford,
Solicitors, 38-39 Maiden Lane, Strand, London WC2E 7LJ, by 1st October
1980. Dated 21st April
1980.

descendants of George Brown Anderson (born 1838) of Blairgowrie, Scotland
and any descendants of his children namely James Anderson, Alexander
Geekie Anderson and Zilah Anderson. 2. Laurence Chapman Anderson, Helen
Anderson, Zilah Anderson, Wilson Anderson and George Brown Anderson, all
grandchildren, of George Brown Anderson (born 1838) of Blairgowrie,
Scotland and any of their descendants. 3. Any descendants of Alexander
Henry Anderson of Blairgowrie, Scotland, who was born 17th November 1843
and died 10th February 1907. 4. Any descendants of Robert Chapman
Anderson of Blairgowrie, Scotland, who was bom 27th February 1845. 5.
Any descendants of Isaac Henry Anderson of Blairgowrie, Scotland, who was
born in 1851 and on 4th May 1877 married Katherine Elizabeth Henry Blyth
who died 4th March 1915 and of any of then- mutual children, namely,
Adeline Lilian Henry Anderson who was born 17th February 1878 and on 27th
January 1912 married James Mackay and who died 28th January 1952,
Violet Winifred Anderson (born 15th December 1882), Edward Raymond
Laurence Anderson (born 27th June 1879) and Godfrey Roland Henry Anderson
(born 15th August 1886) who died 21st August 1967. 6. Hamish M. Mackay
whose last known address was Hartley Wintney, Hampshire, son of Adeline
Lilian Henry Anderson and James Mackay and grandson of Isaac Henry
Anderson of Blairgowrie, Scotland and any of his
