2 Eva Muriel Isabel Prosser b: 29 Oct 1878; d: 29 Jun 1892 in Opunake; Bur: Marton Cem: Age 13   Hawera & Normanby Star, 6 July 1892: Last week a daughter of Mr. Jas. Prosser, of Marton, whilst on a visit for the benefit of her health, died at her uncle's (Mr. S. Prosser). At the concert on the 24th of May last, she sang very prettily, and none then thought her end so near. It is said that her life had been despaired of for some time. Her father was at the deathbed, having arrived a few days previously. She was taken to Marton for interment.

Alexander was in the 1880's featured often as a winning athlete and swimmer - a seviceman in the Boer War: (1)   (2)  and WW1

Jim was one of the men represented by the Tomoana War Memorial Oak Trees planted in Hastings. A new memorial was proposed as some trees were to be removed for road widening
