The last Will and Testament or Appointment of me Susan Newsham of Framingham Pigot in the County of Norfolk, Widow.

First I appoint my brothers William Jecks of Framingham aforesaid Esquire and Charles Jecks of Thorpe next Norwich in the same county Esquire Executors of this my Will and
Trustees for the purposes hereinafter mentioned with power for them or the survivor of them his executors or administrators to appoint a new trustee or trustees whenever he or she shall see fit

And whereas my late Father Isaac Jecks of the Crescent Norwich Gentleman deceased by his Will dated the third day of November one thousand eight hundred and thirty seven and proved in the Episcopal Consistorial Court of Norwich on the twenty eighth day of June One thousand eight hundred and forty one bequeathed to his sons the said William Jecks and Charles Jecks their executors and administrators the principal sum of five thousand four hundred pounds Upon trust to pay the interest thereof to his Wife Mary Jecks during her life And after her decease Upon trust to pay the interest of One thousand four hundred pounds (Part of the said trust money) to me during my life.
And after my decease Upon trust to pay the said sum of One thousand four hundred pounds unto such person or persons in such manner and form and in such shares and proportions and subject to such conditions and regulations as I should by my Will executed as therein mentioned, direct and appoint

Now I do hereby in exercise of the said recited power direct and appoint that my said Executors and trustees (being also Executors and Trustees of my said Fathers Will) shall within twelve calendar months next after my decease payout of the said trust money
(which has since been considerably reduced by the insolvency of my Brother in Law Charles Hursthouse in whose hands part thereof was left pursuant to the directions of my said Fathers Will the following legacies (namely)

To my Daughter Eliza wife of George Curtis and to my son Tom Newsham both of New Plymouth in New Zealand the sum of two hundred pounds Each.

 
To my sons William Newsham now or late of Gwyder River Warialda in New South Wales
Jecks Newsham now or late of Adelaide in South Australia and Bloomar Newsham now or late of Calefornia in North America the sum of One hundred pounds each provided always that if anyone or more of my said sons shall not be found and forthcoming
within seven years next after my decease then I direct and appoint that his or their legacy or Legacies respectively shall lapse into the Residue of my personal Estate

And subject to the payment of all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses and the several legacies aforesaid I give devise and bequeath and also in further exervise of the power aforesaid direct and appoint All my Estate both real and personal whatso-ever and wheresoever (including the residue of the trust money aforesaid) Unto my said Executors and Trustees and the survivor of them his heirs Executors Administrators and assigns respectively or the trustees or trustee to be from time to time appointed by them or him as aforesaid upon the following trusts (that is to say) Upon trust to place or continue and the said personal Estate upon such Government real or other security or securities as my said trustees or trustee shall approve and to vary and transfer the same from time to time as they or he shall think most expedient

And upon trust to pay to my Daughter Caroline Wife of James Skippon of Norwich or otherwise permit her to benefit apart from and exclusive of her said present or future Husband and so that her receipts alone (not withstanding her coverture) shall be effectual discharges for the same And after the decease of my said Daughter Caroline Skippon Then on trust for such person or persons in such parts shares and proportions manner and form in every respect as my said daughter Caroline Skippon (notwithstanding her coverture) by her said present or any future husband and whether covert or sole) shall by her last Will and Testament or any Codicil or codicils thereto direct or appoint and in default of such direction or appointment And so far as any such if made shall not at extend Upon trust for the child or children of my said daughter Caroline Skippon (if more than one in equal shares) or their respective fine per stirpes.

Lastly I hereby revoke all former Wills by me made and declare this only to be my last Will and Testament.

In Witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal this sixth day of August in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and fifty three.

Signed sealed and declared by the above named Susan Newsham as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us together at the same time who in her presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as Witnesses thereto

The Will hereunto annexed of Susan Newsham was proved at Norwich on the sixth day of December 1853 Before the Revd George Carter Clerk Surrogate duly appointed of the
Worshipful Charles Evans M.A. Official Principal of the Episcopal Consistorial Court of Norwich lawfully constituted and was approved &c of the said Susan Newsham the Testatrix deceased was on the nineteenth day of the said month of December duly granted to William Jecks and Charles Jecks her brothers the Executors named in the said Will they being duly sworn to saving &c
