Ida Gladys Hodson (b: 28 Jan 1892 in Wanganui dau. of James Hodson and Eva nee Griffin; d: 19 Mar 1968 in Wanganui; Burial: Wanganui Aramoho Cemetery) Ida attended the St Johns and St Joseph's Parish Schools. In 1909, she exhibited her skill as an artist taking classes under tuition of Miss Marsh "Miss Ida Hodson has fine studies of fruit in addition to a large painting of Great Barrier Island which bears evidence of careful work and us being much admired. In the black and white there are splended exhibits shown, the studies by Miss Hodson and Mr Clements bring of considerable merit.
