Ben was 27Y when he mar: on 11 Jan 1901 VIOLET GRAHAM CHIRNSIDE at Knox Church, Dunedin, daughter of ANDREW CHIRNSIDE and ELIZABETH GORDON. She was b: 05 Jul 1874 in Pekuri Point, and d: aged 75Y on 18 May 1950 at Oamaru where they are both buried.

Their daughter is  VIOLET ELIZABETH CATHERINE JEFFERIS (b. 28 Jul 1902, Balclutha; d. 08 Nov 1973, Christchurch aged 71Y) She was 23Y when she mar: 1925 to LEONARD SYDENHAM JARVIE (b. 06 Mar 1900, Coromandel to parents Andrew Sydenham Jarvie (b: Oct 5 1875, in Christchurch) and mother Elizabeth Jarvie (nee Duncan - b: in 1874, in Kilbernie. Scotland).His brother was William Jarvie. Leonard d. Jan 1978, Christchurch aged 77Y).
