The inscription reads "In loving memory of Mary Jane Billman died 25 July 1925 aged 76 yrs Also William David beloved husband of Mary Billman died 17 Aug 1936 aged 64 yrs."

She mar: 26 Mar 1870 at the home of Mr G Billman, Ngauranga, Wellington, to David Billman. Witnesses to wedding were Abraham Billman, Carpenter, Wellington; Matilda Price daughter of late Wm Price and Harriet Ann Billman, sister of groom.
