In 1908 Bertha mar: JOSEPH GARRETT BARRY (He was b: 22 Mar 1879, and d: 21 May 1937 in Ashburton 58Y.

Joseph's father was JOHN BARRY (b: 1833 in Macroom, County Cork, Ireland  and d: 13 Dec 1882 in Timaru 49Y; bur: 15 Dec 1882 Temuka Cem.); his mother was MARY LEARY (b: 1845 in Surname maybe Moylan or Garrett Mar;: 1873; d: 30 Aug 1913 in Hayhurst St, Temuka 67Y RIP

Joseph's brothers were William Barry (1874- mar: 1900 in Temuka to Margaret Hannah Fitzgerald  - their children  John Joseph Barry;  William Gerald Barry; Edward Fitzgerald Barry; James Lawrence Barry); Garrett Peter Barry b/d: 1877;  Michael Barry (b: 1881; d: 06 Jan 1958 in Timaru 76Y mar: Elizabeth Mary) and  Edward John Barry (b: 1889; d: 1918 in 27Y)

25 Mar 1910 Clearing Sale by CFCA Ltd  Auction at his homestead Longlands, Kakahu Rd, Temuka. Large attendance - competition was keen

1911: The flood at Orari damage caused by silting and imported the clearanced the choking willows - remedy  required local control by council

3 Feb 1914: Press: The Orari river rose and the properties of Messrs Joseph Downs who lost the whole of his grass and Joseph Barry 11 acres of potatoes which adjoin the Orari River, were flooded

29 Sep 1914: Meeting of shareholders: J G Barry Relected Chairman of Directors Clandeboye Cooperative Dairy Co - all acknowledged that Mr Barry had given much time in connection to the new Dairy Company

27 Feb 1923: Temuka Leader:APPEAL CASE: CLANDEBOYE DAIRY GO. V. J. G BARRY: Mr Barry appealed against, the decision of the magistrate who gave judgment for the plaintiff company in a case in which, the company sued Barry for the refund of moneys alleged to be overpaid in connection with the supply of butter-fat to the company by the defendant. Judgment - the appeal allowed.

iii. ERIC FRANCIS BARRY, b. 06 Mar 1917 at Nurse McFarlarlanes Nursing Home, Temuka; d. 1987, a retired Railway Worker, Christchurch; mar. 1947 to MARY BEATRICE RUDDICK (b. 05 Mar 1918 dau: of Katie and John Ruddick; she d. 1981, ChCh).

iv.  MURIEL MARY BARRY (b: 12 Feb 1920; d: 2004) She mar: 6 Oct 1945 at St Theresa's Church, Riccarton, Christchurch to  PATRICK (Snow) WALTER NEAME (b: 04 Jul 1921 at Greymouth to parents Walter Henry Neame b: 24 Apr 1894 in Larrikins Creek, Kumara, d: 07 Mar 1967 in Greymouth - he mar: 20 Nov 1917 in St Patricks Catholic Church, Kumara to Patrick's mother Mary Jane Harris b: 1897 in Ngakawau Died: 1989 in Greymouth, West Coast) Patrick d:  10 Mar 1989 at Christchurch  - Their  4 children  b: at Christchurch:  Andrew Joseph Neame; Max Gregory Neame; Diane Cecilia  Neame and Phillipa Helen Neame
