Grey River Argus, 15 Nov 1918: Yesterday evening the following bulletin was issued by the ""Superintendent of the Grey River Hospital:— E. Bryan; Not as well as yesterday, but still seriously ill.

 Grey River Argus, 25 June 1920: OTIRA NOTES: SUNDAY SCHOOL. The Presbyterian Sunday (School's Anniversary was held in Otira on Monday, July 21st. A concert was given by the school pupils - the programme included: recitation "The School of Sorrow " Miss Pearl Bryan;  recitation; "A Night with the Wolf," Miss Myrtle Bryan;

Timaru Herald, 4 Dec 1923: Salvation Army Sunday School Anniversary; The celebrations concuded with a most enjoyable and pleasingly varied conert given in the Army Fortress which was llargely attended. Porbably one of the most novel items in the programme was te club swinging exibition by Miss Pearl Bryan which was a really clever display, however all the other performers deserve the greatest credit.
