![]() Trevor, known as Mick, was working as a
dairy factory hand at the Kakaramea Cheese Factory when he enlisted and
left for war in 1942 For a time on his return to New Zealand he went
sharemilking on the Glen Road at Kaupokanui for a year before buying his
own dairy farm at Oakura. In 1975, son Graeme took over the
farm and Mick then became a land agent, first at Oakura and when he moved
to New Plymouth.
On retirement, Mick bought a woodlathe and
made furniture, flower pots etc. and his wooden toys were bought by a
local store. It became difficult to keep up
with the demand and he eventually gave it up. His interest was golf which
he had played for many years and bowls.
