Ackroyd over 3 years struggled to achieve recognition and
justice for the farm he developed for his family. 1897 he published his plight and this was followed up by immediate Timaru Herald editorial support. This second
letter below was published 31 May 1898 in the Temuka Leader and was directed to
Mr Flatman
