The close friendship between the Grennall and Guilford families extended well past their shared Pleasant Valley School years. After the marriage service at St Anne's, all those able to attend gathered to celebrate at the Greenall home.

grandfather, William Benbow; 4 (seated) widow Annie Greenall (Annie's mother) Thomas Greenall (Annie's brother) holding chair, stood in for their deceased father, John Greenall, to give the bride away.
