On 1st July 1901, Ben Trumper enrolled his daughter Adelaide to join her older siblings for education at the School at Milford where he had his farm (5 km east of Temuka, it was built in 1873 and merged with Winchester on 2005) . Adelaide's name featured in the yearly prize lists and in Dec 1908 after passing Std 5 , she left for "Home Duties".

Adelaide was 16 when her baby Evelyn Margaret was born b: 1 Nov 1912 (Registry spelling records her name as "Margareatt") Trumper, She d: 12 Jan 1913and was bur; Temuka Cem. with grandparents Ben and Liz; Plot; Row 155 Plot 514) This photo on right, treasured over the years, is believed to be this child.

Adelaide mar: 01 Jun 1921 at the Clandeboye Church, Temuka to Christopher Gordon* McClelland. He was b: 06 Aug 1899 in Temuka to parents Mary Jane Gordon and Thomas Warnick McClelland; d: 09 Nov 1963 in Winchester Temuka; Bur: 11 Nov 1963 Temuka Cem.
