Proud of his regiment, George Adlam
took a last opportunity to gather surviving fellow
servicemen:
Feilding Star, 19 June 1913: ANNIVERSARY
- THE 43rd. TO JUBILATE.. lt is proposed to hold a reunion at a
convenient centre of the surviving members of the 43rd Regiment on
December 11, the date of the fiftieth anniversary of their landing in New
Zealand. Mr G. A. Adlam, of Oakura, invites survivors to communicate

of the 43rd Regiment who fought in the New Zealand Wars. Two of the men
are dressed in military uniform and three (George right back) are wearing
suits. All five men are wearing war medals. There are curtains in the
background and a plant/tree on the right hand side of the image.
Photograph has been adhered to a greenish-grey coloured card with cream
coloured mount. The names Turnbridge, Adlam, Rigley, Colonel Ellis, Bugler
