Frank was b: 6 May 1883 in Prebbleton, Christchurch, and d: 02 May 1953 in Waimate; Bur: 05 May 1953, Old Cemetery, Waimate plot 1502 Nellie and Frank separated about 1930

Frank was "Uncle Frank" to everyone. As a child he saw the effects of war and experienced the depression and flu epidemic. He worked on stations in North and Central Otago. He had his leg badly broken in two places by a horse and while laid up, studied to become a mechanic.

He worked for Gillies Engineering from 1946 on ex army trucks, over 100 in all and also oversaw trucks being loaded onto boats in Wellington. Frank visited family in Rotorua a couple of times and went to Australia once. He lived at Exe Street for a numbeer of years and looked after his sister Ethel even when she was blind and had her legs amputated. From 1994, he lived with Daphne and George
