The Guilford/Guildford family descendants gathered in Christchurch in 1976 to celebrate 125 years since the arrival at Lyttelton in February 1851 of the sailing ship "Castle Eden" and a second reunion was held at Wanganui in June 1995 to commemorate the 100 years since our pioneer forbear, John Guilford's death there. .
