Priscilla Sarah Pursey and Oliver Dimmack Catchpole

Oliver Dimmack Catchpole aged 25, blacksmith, batchelor,was born April 15th, 1883 at Woodend. At the time of his marriage to PRISCILLA SARAH (CILLA) PURSEY on December 30, 1908 at the Methodist Church, Rangiora, he was residing at Rangiora but his usual address was at Morven. He was the son of Alfred CATCHPOLE (born July 24, 1840 in England; Died February 06, 1927) who was a bootmaker and Mary Hatley Catchpole nee Dimmack (Born 1840; Married: March 14, 1864; Died: September 12, 1902) Witnesses were Alfred Judson, farmer, Woodend and Elsie Amelia Tuer, clerk at Southbrook. Priscilla Sarah was aged 25 and the youngest daughter of THOMAS PURSEY, retired farmer and SARAH PURSEY nee CONE. Cilla gave her occupation as domestic duties, born Ashley Bank residing at Rangiora but usually Morven, daughter of Thomas William, retired farmer of King St. Rangiora and Sarah Ann Pursey, nee Cone. The minister was James T Pinfold.

Their daughter Daphne CATCHPOLE m Campbell SMITH. Their son They had a son Rupert. Oliver's second marriage was to Priscilla’s sister EDITH AMELIA PURSEY on December 1926,. She was born 1875 in Ashley, Rangiora, and died October 20, 1937 in Fernside Christchurch.

After Edith's death, he married (3) MARJORIE GERTRUDE…….

Oliver died at Rangiora on the 30th September 1956.
