VALERIE JEAN CONE was born in Rotherham, Amuri. Valerie Jean was educated at Waiau Primary and Summerfield primary schools before attending Christchurch Girls High. She studied for Kindergarton teaching and taught in several different Christchurch schools and was Head Mistress of the North Beach School.

She mar: RONALD GREEN then of the Air Force, on 29 Dec 1957 at St James Church, Riccarton, Christchurch. He was born 10 Dec 1924 in Newton-Le-Willows, Lancashire, United Kingdom and d: 15 Jun 2011 aged 86Y.
Ronald Green was with A M Satterswaite and Co. and then with the Australian Trade commissioner in Christchurch and Prison Service followed before he retired. The family live at Christchurch where Valerie worked for Age Concern
