Pelvin, farmer at Redcliff, were working in a gravel pit yesterday when
the sides fell in, covering one of the workers to the waist and entirely
burying a smaller brother, aged 6 years. When the child was uncovered it
was found that he had been suffocated and his life was extinct.

named Clarence Pelvin was killed at Redcliffs on June 30. The boy, with
several brothers, sons of Mr Charles Pelvin, was in a quarry, when the
sides slipped down and buried him. "When he was extricated he was found to
be dead.
