d: 19th July 1852 at Poplar, Middlesex)
To date, nothing is known of his life and no family have been
discovered. In the 1851
Census he was 76 years old and his wife Martha are living in Poplar Union Workhouse, where
he was described as a Pauper and gave his profession as
a Mariner, and lived in Poplar, Middlesex. He was buriel was on 26.02.1852 at All Saints Church, Poplar.

seaman is one whose occupation is on board a ship at sea, especially a
member of a ship's crew below the rank of petty officer: a sailor before
