Peter Pelvin son of Peter and Lydia Pelvin was born about 1775 in Bexley, England.

He mar 1801 to Martha Harris - she was b: 1776 Wallingford, Berkshire and d: 19th July 1852 at Poplar, Middlesex)

To date, nothing is known of his life and no family have been discovered.

In the 1851 Census he was 76 years old and his wife Martha are living in Poplar Union Workhouse, where he was described as a Pauper and gave his profession as a Mariner, and lived in Poplar, Middlesex. He was buriel was on 26.02.1852 at All Saints Church, Poplar.

Synonyms - Seafarer. Sailor, mariner, salt, seaman, tar are terms for a person who leads a seafaring life.
