We are at last packed - what to take! and so eagerly reported to the airport with over 2 hours to spare clutching our documents - our airline ticket, passport, our completed departure card (oh yes! and so that Helen's government does not feel thwarted by diminished income due to our absence) paid our $25 departure tax - we can escape!

Our Boeing lifts off and ahead is nearly 8 hours flying time. Our clock rolls backwards - it is 5.45pm when we arrive at the Perth Terminal and we are taken to the Sheraton Perth Hotel for a much needed sleep.
